How Do You Measure For A Custom Belt?
The most common sizing error is ordering a belt by trouser waist size, which is almost never the same number. Belt length is measured from the fold at the buckle to the hole you actually use, not to the end of the strap.
- Take a belt you already wear and like the fit of
- Measure from the fold where the buckle attaches to the hole you use most
- Send that measurement in centimetres or inches — that is your belt size
- If you have no belt to hand, measure around your waist over the trousers you will wear it with, through the belt loops
- Say whether you wear it at the natural waist or lower on the hip
